Vehicle Description
For sale in our Indianapolis showroom is a frame-off restored 1970
Chevrolet Camaro. The year was 1970 and while this Camaro was being
purchased for the first time and hitting the streets, Jackson 5's
"I'll be There" was topping the charts as MASH was on TV. 1970 was
also the first year for Camaro's second generation body style which
actually lasted all the way to 1981! Talk about timeless style.
Even today this Camaro will turn more heads than a 2017. Looking
inside the 1970 year model, a new curved instrument panel featured
several round dials for gauges and other switches directly in front
of the driver while the lower section included the heating/air
conditioning controls to the driver's left and radio, cigarette
lighter and ashtray in the center and glove box door on the right.
New Strato bucket seats featured squared-off seatbacks and
adjustable headrests. The exterior of the classic Chevrolet is
painted in a beautiful Burgundy with dual black racing stripes
which hint at the power plant under the hood. Powered by the
numbers matching 350 CID V8 and backed by a new Doug Nash 5-spd
manual transmission, this car runs and drives as good as it looks.
There are just 6500 miles since the restoration took place and
through those miles are the basis of its reliability. Unique to
this purchase comes an original dealer invoice! What else might
there be you ask? Well, how about the fact this 46 year old vehicle
has had only 3 owners. This is a simple testament to how well this
Camaro has been cared for. Options include: AC, AM/FM/Cassette,
Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial
Tires, and Rally Wheels. If you are looking for a 1970 Camaro
without the need of a timely/costly restoration, look no further as
this one is ready to be driven. To view the car in greater detail,
