This 1946 Ford Sedan is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom.
1946 was the year that things would start getting back to normal.
We had been at war for 5 years with all manufacturing efforts going
to that a new car was just simply not in the plans. Now the war was
over, we won, and the boys were coming home. Instead of trying to
come up and retool all the machines for a new model the
manufacturers decided to basically just start the line back up and
get to producing vehicles. These 46's have become ultra hard to
find and when done right are one of the best looking street rods
around. This beauty has had an extensive amount of work done to get
it to the Street rod you see before you. The two tone red & black
paint compliments and shows off the body nicely. Tons of pin
striping just adds to the 50's theme of this old street rod.
Accented by chrome trim and chrome bumpers both front and rear
finish off this exterior nicely. Under the hood is a nicely chromed
out small block that has had an easy life. The rebuilt 700R4
transmission gets you moving down the road. Upfront the Mustang II
style front end makes steering, rather it be in parking lots or on
the open road, an absolute pleasure. Open the door however and you
will see a very well thought out interior. The interior is dressed
in a red & black cloth interior to match the exterior. A tachometer
and aftermarket have been added to keep accurate tabs on the vital
signs. The current owner bought this Ford pretty much the way it
sits, but he does have receipts for last couple of years detailing
maintenance and repair work and are available upon request. Options
for this sedan include; AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering,
Tilt Steering, Chrome Mag wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1946
