This 1964 Ford Mustang Convertible is for sale in our Louisville
KY showroom. The Mustang created the "pony car" class of American
automobiles; sports-car like coupes with long hoods and short rear
decks and gave rise to competitors such as the Chevrolet Camaro,
Pontiac Firebird, AMC Javelin, Chrysler's revamped Plymouth
Barracuda and the first generation Dodge Challenger. The Mustang is
also credited for inspiring the designs of coups such as the
Toyota Celica and Ford Capri, which were imported to the United
States. This Iconic pony car has been completely gone through and
restored by K.A.R. Auto Group of Cleveland Ohio. The Power
Convertible top was replaced at the time of the restoration and is
in excellent shape. Under the hood is the early 260 V8 engine that
has powered these pre - 65 Mustangs. The F code engine is period
correct, and is believed to be the original engine to the car.
Everything in the drive train is original to the Stang. Inside you
will find a nice white vinyl interior that is basic but
exceptionally clean. It's very hard to find these old Pony Cars
where everything is still intact. This Mustang is unmolested and
sports a period correct AM/FM Radio with cassette player, Factory
gauges and warning lights. The automatic shifter is a nice, clean
and simple. Options on this 1965 Ford Mustang include; AM/FM radio
with Cassette Player, power steering, vinyl interior, seat belts,
Radial tires with Factory Steel Wheels and Wire Hub caps with
Spinners. If you are looking to get into the car that started the
Pony Car phenomena, then look no further. To view this 1964 Ford
