This simply stunning fully restored 1970 Plymouth GTX is for sale
in our Louisville Showroom. The 1970 GTX received a minor redesign
(new grille and rear taillights) but sales still suffered as the
car did not look much different from the Road Runner. Stylists made
the lines smoother, and a "power bulge" hood was introduced, as
well as non-functional rear brake air scoops. The GTX was available
with the standard 440 four-barrel carburetor, as well as the 440+6
barrel (three two-barrel carburetors) and the 426 Hemi. In keeping
with the GTX marketing strategy, the 1970 model included many
standard features. This particular GTX is a rare find due the paint
(TX9) and interior options. It believed that only this is 1 of 3 to
be produced in this configuration. Come to think of it, not sure if
I ever seen a black '70 GTX till this one. The gold stripes really
accent the beautiful deep black paint. The original 440 Commando V8
with 4 barrel carburetor and 727 Torqueflite transmission are
fresh. Popping the hood will reveal just how detailed the resto has
been. A brand new NOS wiper motor was found and installed. This GTX
was also optioned with AC, while not currently on the car, the
owner has the parts and they will go with this GTX upon its sale.
Everything about this car has been completely gone through.
Currently the odometer shows 1/10th of a mile, so it is definitely
a fresh restoration with no miles on it. Inside the interior is
completely fresh and is the correct material as well. If you are
looking for a rare '70 Plymouth GTX that will score well at shows,
or as an investment, then stop looking and give us a call. Options
for this '70 Plymouth GTX include; AC (not currently installed)
AM/FM radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl/Cloth
interior and Rally Wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich radial tires. To
