This sharp looking 1966 Cadillac Calais is for sale in our
Louisville Showroom. The Cadillac Calais is a full-size luxury car
that was made by Cadillac from 1965 to 1976. Cadillac renamed its
entry-level Series 62 the Calais in 1965, after the French town and
resort which overlooks the narrowest point in the English Channel.
The primary differences between the Calais and the De Ville were
trim levels and standard equipment. While the De Ville was
delivered with such amenities as power windows and 2-way power
seats as standard equipment, hand-cranked windows were standard on
the Calais, with power a US$119 option. At the same time, however,
AM radio was a US$165 extra, as was air conditioning, at US$495, on
either. In 1965, the new Turbo-Hydramatic 400 became standard
throughout the Cadillac range and it all started with the Calais
for sale. Powering the beast is the 340 hp 429 cu in (7.0 l) V8
which was also built for the Calais and became the standard option
for Cadillac. The powder blue exterior shines up well, but does
show its age. The original blue interior is in excellent shape with
only one small tear in the drivers side of the front seat. Options
on this gorgeously 1 family owned 1965 Cadillac Calais for sale
include: AM Radio, cloth seats, seat belts, power steering, power
brakes, Power Windows, AC, numbers matching drive train and steel
wheels with hubcaps wrapped in white wall radial tires. To view
