Vehicle Description
For sale in our Indianapolis showroom is one of the best classic
C10 pickups we've ever seen. We have available a 1968 Chevrolet C10
custom truck with show quality attention to detail. Let's start at
the birth of this show truck. In December of 1967 in Stockton, CA
the truck was born. Soon after it was sold new as a 1968 Chevrolet
Long bed C10 CST equipped with a 327 V8 engine, powerglide
transmission, factory ac, power steering and power brakes along
with factory bucket seats and console. Jumping 36 years forward,
the lovely C10 was found in Concord, CA with its original black
plates. The truck was then purchased and taken back to Ohio to be
reborn. What happened was a detailed restoration and customization
that is fully documented. Now underneath the hood you will find a
383 stroker engine with a 4-bolt main. The very powerful engine
wasn't just thrown together. Here is a list of just a few of the
details: Eagle cast crankshaft, forged connecting rods, TRW forged
lightweight pistons, 10.75:1 compression, Comp Cams roller
hydraulic camshaft, Comp Cams chrome moly full roller rockers and
pushrods, Fuel injection using a GM ECM, and a B&M oil super
cooler. Backing the engine is a GM TH700R-4 automatic transmission.
The transmission shifts smoothly and boasts a B&M trans super
cooler plumbed with stainless steel lines. Now is a good time to
note that the build has just 8600 miles since its completion. Mind
you, the bottom side of this custom truck is just as clean as the
top. The exterior is coated in an Inferno Red after being
chemically stripped by American Metal Cleaners then E-coated by
Mayflower Vehicle Systems. (the same process as the 2004-06 Ford GT
for $200k) Once the E-coating was oven cured, all the seams were
seam sealed and re-baked. You most likely will not find a cleaner
C10. As far as the Chassis goes, much modifications have been
performed to the original chassis: narrowed control arms, Air Ride
Technologies air bags installed, C notch kit installed in rear
frame, and McGauffeys 2-inch drop spindles and more. Getting to the
interior, this C10 boats its original bucket seats and console
recovered, fuel tank removed and relocated under bed, Dynamat
Extreme Insulation applied to every surface (even inside of doors),
and electric power windows added using the original window crank
handles! Simply put, this is a truck ready for a drive to anywhere
or any show. You must see the 100+ HD pictures and video at
