Chevrolet Chevelle SS ready for the road or the track. With
slightly more than 100 miles since built, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle
SS is powered by a 623 CID V8 that has a dyno sheet showing 821 hp
and 808 lb-ft of torque! This engine has a Holley carb, Edelbrock
intake and Lemmon Custom headers, and it is backed by a manual
shift race prep 400 with a B&M ratchet shifter and a JW3400
stall converter. To handle all that power, this car has been
back-halved with a four-link suspension, nine-inch rear end with
3.90 gears and tubbed to accommodate the fat, 20-inch Mickey
Thompson Sportsman S/R radial tires. The front end has also been
upgraded with tubular A-arms, coil-over shocks and a rack and
pinion steering system, and for stopping power, this Chevelle has
four-wheel disc brakes with HRE custom wheels (18-inch on the front
and 20-inch at the rear). While the exterior is all show, the
interior is all business with a full roll cage, racing bucket seats
with racing harnesses and a custom dash with Autometer gauges and
toggle switches for the fuel pump, water pump and cooling fan. In
the trunk, you'll find dual Exide batteris and the 16-gallon fuel
