Up for sale in our Orlando Showroom is a very stunning example of
German engineering, the 1970 Volkswagen Beetle. Made extremely
popular during the 1950's-1970's, the Volkswagen Beetle has a cult
following all of its own. Ultimately the Volkswagen Beetle is
designed for utilitarian simplicity. The cars follow a basic
guideline of having a rear mounted engine/transmission, allowing
these cars to be built, broken down then rebuilt within the same
day no matter what might happen to it. The engine is the original
air cooled 1600cc 4 cylinder, which despite not having the same
horsepower levels as most cars of this era, does a great job of
showing itself off due to how lightly engineered it is. The
transmission is a 4-speed manual transmission, original to the car
as well as the engine, and is just as fundamentally well built as
the day it rolled off the factory floor. The interior is mostly
original but features fully functional air conditioning. The top
half of the motor was overhauled in 2010 and is ready for many more
years of duty. The exterior of this car is done in an original
style beige paint job, which accents the interior very well. When
you pop open the front for the spare tire, you can see how
meticulously this car has been restored and kept. Options include
AC, AM/FM/Cassette stereo, hub caps, seat belts and vinyl interior.
