By the mid 1970's, Porsche had been producing 911s for a decade,
and the little sports car from Stuttgart was considered to be the
car by which all other sports cars were judged. The introduction of
the 911SC in 1978 provided a healthy boost in power to the 911's
venerable 2.7-liter flat-six cylinder engine, resulting increased
performance and a 0-60 mph time of about 6.3 seconds. Known for
their bulletproof durability, these cars have aged exceptionally
well and many remain on the road toady.
This 1983 Porsche is presented in white paint with matching white
Fuch wheels. The exterior of the car is also fitted with a black
convertible top, foglights and a whale-tail spoiler. The interior
is well equipped with pleated black upholstery and complete
instrumentation. Powering this Porsche is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder
engine with an estimated 180 horsepower. This SC is also equipped
with a manual transmission, power windows, cruise control, radio
and air conditioning. Completeing the car is a factory toolkit.
This lovely original Porsche is also a former Greenwich Concours
award winner.
