The Model: Ferrari's new 308 had the difficult task of replacing
the popular 246 Dino in Maranello's lineup. When the new car was
first spotted during initial testing, rumors flew about the new
Dino. The new car was very different, however. Rather than use
Bertone who had designed the angular 308 Dino GT4, Ferrari engaged
Pininfarina design legend, Leonardo Fioravanti, to pen what has
become one of Ferrari's most iconic shapes. The gorgeous design was
an instant hit at the 1975 Paris Motor Show. The first two years of
308 GTB production wore fiberglass body shells while later cars
were clad in all-steel bodies. Underneath, a sophisticated
fourcam 90-degree V8 provided the power accompanied by an
impressive soundtrack. While not delivering blistering performance
by modern standards, the new 308 was a breath of fresh air as the
Malaiseera drew to a close. Today, the V8 Ferrari market
continues to grow as enthusiasts and collectors recognize the 308
GTB as one of Ferrari's greats.
The Car: In 1980 Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection was
added on the 308 GTBi. This 308 GTBi is presented in brilliant
show-winning condition. From the lustrous Rosso paint to the black
leather interior, this car impresses. The wheels and tires
absolutely set this car apart. It is fully serviced and ready to go
for the next owner. The V8 Ferrari market continues to grow as
collectors recognize the excellence and beauty of the design. This
is an outstanding opportunity to secure a topflight example of
Maranello's most iconic V8.
