Vehicle Description
The boxy bodies of classic pickups like this 1984 Chevrolet
Silverado are now an iconic symbol of toughness. So when it comes
beautifully dressed in two-tone glossy black and silver with a 4x4
drivetrain, powerful crate V8, a loaded A/C interior, and all for
under $25K...well, that's just downright irresistible.
A recent application of black and silver give a sophisticated
attitude to a very custom pickup. This truck is nothing but
straight crease lines, so it would be impossible to hide any
imperfections in the body. Mirror-like chrome bumpers, billet
grille, and Eagle Alloy wheels add plenty of flash to an already
impressive package. And the lifted suspension, Toyo Open Country
tires, and cowl hood give this pickup an appearance that is
intimidating even before you turn the key and let the dual exhaust
rumble. But just because it looks fantastic doesn't stop this 4x4
from earning its keep. The tough bed liner and hitch on the step
bumper means this classic Scottsdale is as ready for anything as
you are.
Inside the premium pickup feeling continues the moment you open the
door and lay eyes on the super comfy cloth bench seat. The door
panels, carpet, and dashboard all keep this factory-correct
appearance as they continue to look as deep and dark as the day
this Chevy left the factory. The factory steering wheel and
original gauge package are in great condition even the clock
still works! There are even some nice upgrades like an AM/FM/CD
stereo with iPod hookup and R134a air conditioning. We know you'll
especially appreciate the last one, because you'll love taking down
the power windows, sliding the rear glass, and letting the breeze
run through the cabin. And with modern A/C, you can even do that on
a summer afternoon without breaking a sweat.
This pickup originally came with Chevy's 305 cubic-inch V8, which
is fine powerplant, but we all know there are some hotter examples
out there. That's why this one was upgraded to a more desirable 350
small block crate motor. While those are already known for power,
this one has been further enhanced by inhaling through an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor and exhaling through long tube headers. The
upgraded motor is also really helpful for more power when it's time
for 4x4 duty. The truck has a two-speed transfer case to choose the
right kind of off-road work. But this Chevy is also good for the
long trips. Besides the dual fuel tanks, there's power steering,
power brakes (discs up front), and a 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission that includes overdrive for when you're on the
highway.
These Chevy trucks are gaining in popularity by the day, and slick
4x4's like this don't stay long in our showroom. So you may never
see a versatile and handsome classic pickup this affordable again.
