This beautiful car has just been acquired from the previous long-term owner and restorer of the car, who has unfortunately passed away. We purchased all 4 of his British sports car that he has restored and tenderly loved. Starting with an absolutely rock solid and very correct early high compression TR6, he commenced to completely dis-assemble the car removing the body from the frame and doing a complete frame-off restoration. As you can see from the pictures, this car is incredibly solid and beautifully, and thoroughly, gone through. The engine runs silky smooth, as the famous Triumph 2.5 liter should. We have completely rebuilt the carburetors and tuned the car. It is fitted with an absolutely correct new tan interior with wool carpets, a beautiful dash, a new zip-out rear window top, and is very correct. The paint is quite nice with great body gaps and a nicely detailed engine bay. The stunning Damson color, code 17, has incredible depth and is very straight with a striking high gloss. Early TR6s had their own special feel to them. The additional torque and lack of emission controls made them not only nice to drive, but also much easier to service. Accessibility to the engine could not be any better, and with the incredible supply of available parts for these cars at such reasonable costs, owning one of these beauties is not going to break the bank, and I feel, as a personal owner of 20 TRs currently, that these are an extremely undervalued car that can only go up. Certainly faster than the money you are making sitting in your savings account.
