New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly desirable 1972
Mercedes Benz 280SEL 4.5 4 Door Sedan with factory black exterior
paint and a tan leather interior. It features the original 4.5L
eight-cylinder engine under the hood with the numbers-matching
automatic transmission, both of which have never been restored over
the life of this desirable vehicle. This one is also very nicely
equipped with factory air conditioning, power windows, a sunroof
and more, which makes it one heck of a survivor at the current
price point. True Survivor that's Never Been Restored
The current owner of this 1972 Mercedes Benz 280SEL 4 Door Sedan
purchased it in 2015 from the 2nd lifetime owner with intentions of
fully restoring it from top to bottom. He was drawn to this example
because it is completely unmolested with everything factory still
in place, all the way down to the cigarette lighter and owner's
manuals. It does show some significant signs of aging, however, and
a good bit of the exterior paint has chipped/faded. The interior
also shows average signs of wear but it's very clean
throughout.
