This awesome 1977 Trans Am is optioned with the Y-81 Special Edition Package and is only 1 of 384 made with manual transmission and no T-tops and this option combination making this a very rare collectible. The W72 Performance Package was an engine option on the base 6.6 Liter 400 CID engine that provided an additional 20 horsepower over the stock engine and was labeled as the "T/A 6.6". Pontiac achieved this additional horsepower by beefing up the 4-barrel carburetor, adding a cam with 20 more degrees of duration, a new low restriction dual resonator exhaust system, and adding an air cleaner with a larger snorkel. Just so that everyone knew you had a T/A 6.6, the callouts were affixed to the shaker and chrome valve covers. This car is well documented including the original build sheet, window sticker and PHS documentation. This 1977 Pontiac Trans Am is powered by its original 6.6L 400 CID V8 engine , backed by a 4-speed manual transmission, running to a Posi Traction rear end with 3.42 gears with only 3,367 actual miles! This car is the definition of true un-restored and original survivor Options on this 1977 Pontiac Trans Am include: AM/FM radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, and Raised White Letter Radial Tires. This beautiful survivor is still sporting its original black paint with the unmistakable shaker hood and Firebird decal on the hood. The interior is also nicely preserved in its original black vinyl interior and gold gauge bezel that makes this car pop.
