With a radical redesign in 1971, the new Ford Mustang was reintroduced as a more luxurious sports car as the auto manufacturers began to transition from muscle cars to personal luxury cars. This 1973 Ford Mustang convertible has been owned by the same family since 1974, with complete service records for the entire time of ownership. Powered by a 302ci V8 mated to a C4 3-speed automatic transmission, the Mustang has 176,979 documented miles on the odometer, with an engine rebuild in 1993 at 149,698. Under the hood, the Mustang features power brakes with front discs, power steering, and air conditioning, all of which have been rebuilt, with the power steering redone in 1990, the A/C in 1993, and the brakes completely redone in 2015. Inside the car, the interior is in excellent shape and mostly original save for a few items that have been replaced like one door panel and a seat cover, and features an aftermarket Kenwood AM/FM tape deck with a Kenwood 6-cd changer in the trunk. The dash features a speedometer with trip meter, tachometer, and gauges for fuel, oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage, all of which work except for the clock. On the exterior, the Mustang is shown in its original color of Medium Bright Yellow and has had one repaint during its life while the convertible top has been replaced too and is in excellent shape. The paint shows well but does have some imperfections as one would expect due to its age however, overall the car shows nicely and runs excellently due to the care of the current owners. As far as well maintained vehicles go, this Mustang has wanted for nothing its entire life and has been well cared for the entire time it has been owned by this family. This 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible is a great car that deserves a new owner who will care for it and love it just as its original owners have.
