Vehicle Description
Recently completed!! This Jewel Blue beauty was recently refreshed
in it's original color combo of Jewel Blue with White Coves on the
exterior and Medium Blue with White interior. The Vette is still
powered by it's numbers matching, DJ 283ci, 245 horsepower engine
with 2x4 carbs. Backed by the original Powerglide transmission.
Less than 40 were built with these exact specs and I'm sure not all
of them are left on the road today. This is a rare Corvette! The
carpet is brand new, along with the top and all of the seats, dash
and panels have been recovered in the correct colors as well. 1961
Corvettes were technically still part of the first generation of C1
or first-generation solid axle Corvettes. They were substantially
changed, however, from the 1956 cars. The grille teeth were
eliminated and there was a completely different rear end with four
round taillights that actually carried over into the all-new '63
Sting Ray design. This particular Corvette was built in the 2nd
week of October. It's a stunning car that has been very nicely
restored. You could not restore a Corvette to this level for
anywhere near this price. Take this one home before it's gone!!
