Please contact us for more information. This original rare 1967 Cougar GT-390 XR-7, is a beautifully restored piece of history. Unique sequential rear tail lights. It is a first year Cougar production, Motor Trend Car of the year 1967. Built in the Dearborn Michigan Plant. Featuring a 390 4V V-8 GT engine, S-code, factory dual exhaust, C-6 Select-shift Merc-O-Matic transmission, factory Inverness Green paint in base clear, factory black leather interior, center console with factory clock, original wood grain steering wheel, factory AC- Whisperaire, factory power steering, factory 3.25 limited slip axle ratio, factory style steel wheels, original GT equipment group, 65 B Cougar XR-7 option. This Cougar presents very well in a unique shade of green and is one of only 2653 GT's built out of a total production run of 150,893 Cougars built in 1967. Powered by the 390 CI V-8 engine with an automatic transmission, it's fed by a factory 4-barrel Holley carburetor and breathes through a dual exhaust system that sends a sweet note letting others know this car bites well. This car is equipped with power brakes with front discs and power steering, with comfortable interior, making this car a luxurious ride. The Cougar was produced with a healthy dose of performance blended with a large slice of accommodation. The Cougar chassis platform boasts a longer wheel base and interior space than a Mustang, providing for a more comfortable ride. This GT has a very smart, period-correct black leather interior and is equipped with bucket seats and center console with rare clock, as well as the original wood grain steering wheel.
