Please contact us for more information. Named in honor of the legendary North American P-51 Mustang - regarded as the finest WW II fighter plane ever to see service - and the favorite of Roush Performance founder Jack Roush, the ROUSH Performance P-51A Mustang is most-powerful Mustang that the company produced at the time of its introduction. The P-51A also marks the first time that internal engine components were upgraded by ROUSH technicians in-house at Livonia, Michigan. Main tweaks applied to the Mustang's 300-hp 4.6L, 3-valve engine included a forged eight-bolt steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons with increased dish lowering compression, forged steel H-Beam connecting rods, and ROUSHcharger supercharger. Additional upgrades included a custom aluminum upper and lower intake manifold, high capacity air-to-water intercooler, custom fuel rail and high-flow fuel injectors, high-flow capacity fuel system, and a dual electronic throttle body. Preliminary testing confirmed the effectiveness of the modifications, with the ROUSH P-51A engine delivering at least 510 horsepower and 510 lbs-ft. torque. Beyond the wicked engine, ROUSH P-51A updates include a ROUSH Aerobody kit including a front fascia, chin spoiler, hood scoop, and rear spoiler. A black ROUSH high-flow grille was also added, along with side shields to enhance cooling while giving the car a truly aggressive look while it prowls the streets. Interior upgrades include ROUSH sport leather seats and custom floor mats, both with embroidered P-51A emblems. White-faced gauges, billet aluminum pedals, and a ROUSH short-throw shifter topped with a retro-style black ball round out the interior and provide a true race-bred presence. The ROUSH P-51A rides on 18-inch ROUSH five-spoke forged wheels and the company's uprated Stage 3 suspension, including specially-engineered and tuned front struts, rear shock absorbers, front and rear springs and sway bars, and jounce bumpers. Front brakes are upgraded with 14-inch two-piece rotors and four-piston calipers. Delivering outstanding handling and braking, each component of the suspension was specifically engineered by ROUSH to provide maximum performance while preserving comfort and ride quality. Offered complete with both its Ford and ROUSH window stickers included, this 2008 ROUSH P-51A Mustang is Car 142 of only 151 examples built. It was originally a 2008 Mustang GT Deluxe, finished in Vapor Silver Clearcoat Metallic with Ford factory options including the Driver Ornamentation Package 195, California Emissions System, Sirius satellite radio with 6 months of service, and the 'Shaker 500' audio system with 6-disc CD changer and .mP3 capability. According to its Ford Motor Company window sticker, the Mustang GT was sold to Roush Industries, where it received the full P-51A treatment. Additional highlights include the optional exhaust system and a tool kit. Stunning on every possible level this extremely rare this 2008 ROUSH P-51A Mustang is more than a worthy heir to the heroic legacy of its airborne namesake.
