This 1971 Chevrolet Custom/10 4x4 Fleetside half-ton pickup was built at the St. Louis, MO factory. Finished in GM 73-505 Dark Green with white top. Original untouched 350 cid engine with Rochester Quadra-jet induction, Hedman headers, and custom dual exhaust. Rebuilt Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Original transfer case, Dana 44 axles, and hubs. Power steering, power disc brakes, locking hubs, gauge package, lower body side molding, AM radio, and green vinyl interior trim. Beautifully finished Oak bed. Original data plate preserved on glove box lid.
Three owners from new. Dry, west coast truck with mostly original sheet metal. Mileage believed to be original at 73k, according to the original speedo head included plus 3800 miles accrued sense restoration.
Originally sold to Eastern Oregon before coming to western Washington State in 2008. The truck underwent a no expense spared 45,000 cosmetic frame-off restoration in 2011-12, including 667 hours labor, 9k in new and reproduction parts, and 3500 in materials. Left and right lower rear cab corners, outer rocker panels, and front cab floor panels were replaced as per restoration documentation. All other sheet metal is arrow-straight and original to the truck. Correct TBG-coded 350 engine, produced May 8, 1971 Casting 3970010, Flint, MI.
The truck rides on brand new stock sized Michelin Defender LTX tires and American Racing Baja polished aluminum wheels including the spare and benefits from a recent tune up.
