This Chrysler 300L was purchased from the original owner in 1976. Everything on vehicle was original except the battery. It even has the original Red Line tires that were worn to the point where N.J. Inspection would not complete inspection unless tires were replaced. The car was updated in 1984 with a new paint job chrome bumpers and chrome tail lamp bezels. A two-stage paint finish was applied color sanded buffed and the car reassembled. The paint job is now 28 years old.
Brakes and tune-ups were a normal upgrade over the years. In 2012 the power brake unit was rebuilt. The brake shoes are practically new. When the car was purchased in 1976 the odometer reading was approx. 31000 miles. The current odometer reading is around 52000 miles. The seller can attest to the accuracy of the total mileage. The car is 95+ original. The exceptions being chromed valve covers the seller has the original covers tires and parts used in repairs.
In 2010 the top was replaced. In 2011 the interior seats were replaced with original Legendary products and the front seat pads were also replaced. Otherwise the interior dash trim panels carpeting etc are original. Also in 2011 the tires were replaced with the original styled Red Line Radial tires. The original chrome factory magnum wheels were showing chrome wear so these were also replaced and the originals are available.
Options on the vehicle include power brakes power steering power top AM radio reverb unit center console shifter with vacuum gauge flashers and overflow tank. This Chrysler is powered by a 360-hp 413 cu. in. V-8 PI engine. The engine is original and has not been altered. The original dual-point distributor was replaced with an electronic unit for reliability.
