Vehicle Description
Built by Gateway Classic Mustang, a specialist in Pro-Touring
Mustangs, this 1966 Mustang is a down-to-business, corner carver
with a plethora of performance parts. This restoration is now 10
years old and has just under 4,000 miles. The car was a SEMA
feature car, a BF Goodrich display car, and has been featured in
magazines.
Featuring a solid original body free from patch panels, this 1966
Mustang received a bare metal base/clear refinish in standard
Shelby colors. During the restoration, the car received all new
glass, all new trim, new chrome and new rubber throughout. The
engine compartment and undercarriage have been refinished in a
clean coat of semi-gloss black.
The engine is a fuel injected 347 stroker that made 450 HP on the
engine dyno. It uses a forged crank, Roush heads, a Comp Roller
cam, JPA headers Accel ignition, and a Billet Specialties front
runner kit. The rear gears are a 3.50 limited slip, and combined
with the Tremec TKO 500, this car really rips around town.
The RSS front suspension combined with the Gateway 3 link out back
make the car handle as if it%u2019s on rails. The RRS Stage 3
brakes bring the Mustang to a halt in a New York minute and the
large 17" wheel and BFG Comp 2 tires are a huge improvement over
any stock set up.
The interior is straight business with the deleted rear seat,
rollbar, and Autometer gauges and harness set up. All the wiring is
new throughout the car, complete with a modern fuse box.
