Vehicle Description
This Lincoln Continental convertible has been in the same family for almost 40 years. Acquired from the original purchaser in 1978 in Long Beach, CA, the current owner spent 20 years painstakingly refurbishing the car using original factory specifications and parts - right down to using only the original color used for the internal wire harnesses. New parts, switches and other materials are factory original to replace the worn ones that were in the original car to keep the car looking fresh and only as it would have been produced. A dash-mounted Autronic Eye and the split front leather seats were added. Only those options that were factory-offered in that year and on this model were added. The car's options include cruise control, air conditioning, power antenna, power door locks, tilt steering wheel, power windows front and rear, power convertible top and AM/FM stereo radio. The only off-factory modification known is that the 465+/-ft/lbs engine was converted to use unleaded gasoline. This car has always been garaged, regularly started. It has been 20 years since the finish of the restoration, but is still in outstanding condition.
