Restored in 2004 this show-ready 3-owner Tiger has been with its most recent owner for 25 years. The total restoration is documented with many pictures and two binders of receipts some dating to 1990 and totaling thousands of dollars. Mileage is believed to be original and only 1000 miles have been covered since the restoration was completed. The metallic blue paint has been professionally applied shows well and is free of any significant flaws. Seating surfaces were updated with leather calfskin during restoration and show almost new. As offered it is a great example of the increasingly collectible and rare V-8 Tiger.
The matching tan soft top is in almost-new condition and has been rarely used. Tires are new and mounted on period-look Dayton wire wheels which are in excellent condition. The color-matched factory hardtop is currently installed and has also been restored to a high level. All glass is clear and the quarter windows function as designed. The headliner and sun visors have been redone and are in near-perfect unmarked condition. The original steering wheel remains and is covered in a period leather wrap.
Practical upgrades were made to the 260 V8 and transmission including a Griffin aluminum radiator remote oil filter 4 barrel carburetor and alternator update. Additional dealer-installed or LAT Los Angeles Tiger options include headers traction bars and Tiger-Powered by Ford valve covers. These cars are a blast to drive and look great. With values rapidly on the rise this turn-key example is sure to be a lasting investment.
