Finished in Honduras Maroon, this vehicle is the 1 of 1 1961 NICKEY Chevrolet Corvette conversion. It is the very first documented 350 cu. in. conversion performed by Nickey Chevrolet Performance on November 14, 1966. It is the only known 1961 Corvette Nickey performed an engine conversion on. 3 pages of Nickey Chevrolet shop invoices are included, signed by the original owner, who worked for the Chicago Cubs in the mid-to-late 60's. Nickey pulled the brand new engine from a new 1967 Camaro SS350 4-speed car and did a Super Car conversion to the Camaro and installed this MS-Code 350/295 hp SS 4 speed engine into this 1961 Corvette for Wayne Dahlstrom. Wayne was also kind enough to also sign a Certificate of Authenticity stating he was the one who authorized the Nickey Chevrolet conversion and personally signed the Nickey shop invoices dated Nov 14 & 15th 1966. He also sent me his original Corvette club jacket and misc memorabilia, pictures to go with car. This Corvette is in the Nickey Registry and also inspected and authenticated by Nickey Performance owner and GM Super Car expert Stefano Bimbi and was invited and in the 2015 MCACN Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals NicKey display.
