For Sale: 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo in Oakwood, Georgia

Vehicle Description

2001 Porsche 911 Turbo. Vin# WP0AB29991S687903. 34,613 Miles. 6-Speed Manual. Polar Silver Metallic (L92M). Graphite Grey Full Leather Interior (CE). Clean Carfax. Spare & Jack .. This gorgeous 996 Twin Turbo comes in Polar Silver Metallic, which has a very intriguing lavender hue to it. Currently, there are a great number of Arctic Silver 911 Turbos out there, but very few in Polar Silver Metallic. When the sun beams on the paint, the car literally illuminates. The Graphite Grey leather interior flows with the exterior of the car and the overall picture is very appealing to the eyes. Performance wise, this 415 hp Twin Turbo does not disappoint, and it is absolutely a blast to drive. Its still has certain elements of the old era Porsches where you can feel the car working, but its also injected with the modern twist of smooth shifting and rapid acceleration.Options for this car are: X70 - Stainless steel door entry guards with logo. 059 - Without front bumperettes. 265 - Automatic anti-dazzle interior mirror and rain sensor. 266 - Automatic anti-dazzle door mirrors. 446 - Wheel caps with colored Porsche crest. 586 - 4-way electrically adjustable lumbar support, left seat. 680 - Digital Sound Package. 692 - 6-disc CD changer Becker Porsche CDC-3. 939 - Draped leather rear seats. 982 - Draped leather front seats. I would like to share my personal observations about the 996 Turbo's! The engine was designed by Hans Metzger, probably the best Porsche engine designer ever. Mr. Metzger designed the engines for my Porsche factory team cars that we won the 2000 American Le Mans Series with. They were absolutely bulletproof, enabling us to win 10 out of 12 races. We also won the European Le Mans Series in 2000. The 996 Turbo engines are not the same design as used in the normal 996 911's. There was a intermediate shaft bearing problem with those cars and some have thought the Turbo's also had a problem. Not true, Mr. Metzger's engines feature a totally different design. Serviced properly, they will provide many hundred's of thousands of miles with spectacular performance. Dick Barbour .. Collector car financing available at competitive rates.
