Vehicle Description
Restoration and modifications include a chopped top, removing all the windows and shaving the door handles. New sheet metal was rolled over what were the window slots and the windshield was replaced with Plexiglas. All the original chrome details were removed and powder-coated black, including the front and rear bumpers, which complement the long, sleek, silver body. The seats have been reupholstered with black and silver leather. In addition, the dash, carpet and door panels have been refurbished. The stereo consists of two 10" Soundstream subwoofers, a Memphis Belle 16 amplifier with a digital capacitor in the trunk; the spacious trunk still has room for cargo. The alternator was replaced with a high-output one in order to accommodate the electrical requirements of the stereo system. This vehicle has a Ford automatic transmission and a Concept One power steering pump. The 390ci engine includes a 4-barrel Holley 4160 aluminum carburetor, coated stainless-steel shorty headers. The exhaust system is straight pipe with no mufflers. It rides on 18" low-profile black and chrome rims.
