Vehicle Description
Sometimes you just know something is cool from the first glance.
Like this 1957 Chevrolet 3100 that is dressed to be that perfect
aged speedway truck with an obvious wild side. So as you dig deeper
into the cool paint, custom A/C interior, and big bock performance,
you soon realize that the coolest truck around is also quite
affordable.
This body is all about being secretly rewarding. The solid Chevy
3100 has been sprayed to look like it has spent a lifetime being a
speedway workhorse. And if you're a NASCAR fan, you should already
know North Wilkesboro Speedway. It's the debut track for Fireball
Roberts and Junior Johnson, and records are held here by royalty
such as Darrell Waltrip and Richard Petty. The matte red paint,
patina, and fading signage, all will make crowds inquire if this
pickup is really part of that history it's that good of a
tribute. But observant people will start to notice the details. The
dark tint on the big wraparound rear window, the lowered stance,
and those BOSS black torque-thrust style wheels that are only
reserved for the best pickups. This all adds up to a stealthily
image that will make some think this pickup is more than just a
speedway helper, and could also be good enough to compete on the
track (more on that in a moment.)
The interior is one place where this truck doesn't try to mask its
premium build roots. The gray bucket seats are borrowed from a
late-model GM truck, and so they have modern, all-day comfort.
There's a long list of modern features such as the cup holder
center console, power windows, and an AM/FM/XM stereo with DVD
display and plenty of powered speakers. And of course, a truck this
cool deserves ice-cold air conditioning. And we haven't even gotten
to all the treats reserved just for the driver. Your right hand
will love the Lokar shifter, and your left one may never want to
leave the Corvette-style three-spoke steering wheel. Plus, the
upgraded full gauge package is a clear indication of something
special under the hood even before you twist the key.
Everyone loves seeing big block power fill the engine bay, and
that's especially true when it also shines from the air grabber,
alternator, and valve covers. But what you'll really love are the
speedy upgrades to this big block machine such as the large
four-barrel carburetor, performance intake, and shorty headers that
feed the rumbling dual exhaust. But more than just brute force,
this was a very thoughtful build. For example the aluminum radiator
and electric fan means this pickup can stay cool even when you're
in traffic with the A/C running. Plus, this one has been upgraded
with an independent front suspension and air ride rear. Add in the
power steering, front disc brakes, and the grip of modern Nexen
performance tires, and you're got a great all around classic with a
very stealthy appearance.
This Chevy has an amazing attitude that tells the world you have a
different definition of cool. If you like workman preservation
appearance with all the right creature comforts beneath the
surface, call now!
