Vehicle Description
This classy hardtop convertible roadster drives beautifully and is in excellent running condition. It had two owners prior to my purchase, and both owners babied this machine, but neither of them drove it exclusively. I bought it in 2013, from the estate of the second owner who was a friend. When my friend became incapacitated the car was stored in his airplane hangar and occasionally driven by another friend. The car has never been stored outside. It was first serviced for me by Park Place Motors in Dallas, Texas. A tire man who understood wire wheels carefully mounted the new tires, and a longtime Mercedes mechanic replaced the muffler, power steering hoses and valve cover gaskets. It has a new battery. The car has never been in an accident. It will come with the original tools which were in the trunk. Since I bought the car the floor carpeting and the rear area have been covered with mats to protect them. The upholstery is gently worn in places and there are marks where the hardtop was rested on the car frame before it was placed directly into its fittings. The car did not come with the separate hardtop storage mount. I made certain the soft top was in excellent condition and have aired it several times, but it has never been wet nor has it stayed up very long since I have had it. The hardtop has been on the car most of the time. Why am I selling this car? We are down-sizing and I no longer have a separate garage for it. It deserves a good home with someone who will care as I do for it, and will continue to drive it often enough to keep it in excellent condition. It is a kick to drive!
