Vehicle Description
This docile looking wagon has a surprise under the hood; a 259ci
V8! Studebaker didn't have the funds to do frequent design changes
like the 'Big 3', so they made up for a lack of styling changes
with impressive - or at least unexpected power plants. This fits
right into the category of a sleeper; small wagon with docile
looks, simple styling, and a powerful engine under the hood. This
California Black Plate Daytona shows 34,067 miles on the odometer,
it looks as though it has clicked over 100k. Our research shows
that just 1,543 Daytona Wagons were produced for '64- this one
being a South Bend Produced example.
This Daytona is in very good condition overall, and runs and drives
great.

Bordeaux Red paint in good condition - One old re-spray that is
thin in some areas
Body is in great solid condition all around - some paint splitting
between base of hatch and bumper

Trim in very good condition
Front Bumper chrome in great condition - few small scuffs on
driver's side
Rear Bumper chrome in very good condition - starting to show some
spotting on the top side
Wheel Covers in very good condition

All original as far as we can tell

Headliner in very good condition - driver's side visor material
splitting along edge

(A "C" after the engine code would tell us that the car was built
in Canada after the South Bend, Indiana plant was closed. This
vehicle does not have that "C" so it is a South Bend produced car
coming off the line in late '63.)
