1982 Datsun 280ZX For Sale 2 Seater 13,725 Actual Miles, One Owner, Original Paint Survivor LMC is proud to offer for sale this 1982 Datsun 280ZX Datsun 280ZX, the Nissan S130, is a sports coupé produced by Nissan in Japan from 1978 to 1983 as the second generation Z-car. It was sold as the Datsun 280ZX, Nissan Fairlady Z and Nissan Fairlady 280Z, depending on the world marketplace. The 280ZX was the first time the "by Nissan" subscript was badged alongside the Datsun logo as Nissan began to phase in their new global brand under the Nissan name. Interesting how the American auto magazine writers at the time described the Datsun 280ZX to the North American marketplace" the overall design of this Vette-style T-Bar roof fastback became known as the "Japanese Corvette"" and the luxurious interior of this sporting car had them explaining the ZX as "the Ford LTD of sports cars." Paul Newman, the Hollywood Award Winning Actor and Professional Driver/Team Owner raced a 280ZX with the Bob Sharp Racing team. He also helped to promote the ZX and starred in a series of commercials. Significant results being the 1979 SCCA C Production Category by Bob Sharp Racing, 1979/1980 IMSA GTU Championship and the 1982/1983 IMSA GTO Championship.
