THE VEHICLE OFFERED
This Alfa is in overall good condition for its age. It would be a great restoration candidate or one to tidy up mechanically and drive. The Alfa started out life in California. It is believed to be a two owner car. It moved from California to Idaho 35+ years ago. It has been under single ownership for the past 30 years. The engine is a period correct engine. Factory spec 1600 cc and original single down draft cab. The engine could benefit from a tune up and refresh. The vehicle starts and drives but there are some seeping gaskets and the timing is off. The engine does not smoke out of the exhaust. The gauges work and so do the lights. The transmission shifts nicely too. The body is a bit rough but it has no major damage. The floor pans are original. I was told the car wears its original body work completely and has never been in a crash. The only spot of rust on the car is in the back in the trunk. The rust is around the seam of the trunk pan near the rear. It has been painted over and can not be seen from the exterior of the car. It seems to have rusted from where battery acid may have spilled over. The car saw a repaint a long time ago. It was originally white. The only area where you can see the previous white paint is in the engine compartment. The photos show that there are some trim pieces missing however I have some original grill and trim pieces. The top is in good condition too. The heater fan switches on as well.
