Vehicle Description
Back in the day, the Ford Sedan Delivery was a workhorse. Today, these three-door wagons make classic street rods. This 1929 model was restored 10 years ago and has been carefully maintained ever since. The current owner has a photo album of the restoration. The body was reshot in MOPAR Tangerine Orange, a paint color similar to Harley's popular Pearl Sedona Orange. It is said to be a tricky color to apply, but this basecoat/clearcoat operation with ghost flames was beautifully done. All of the chrome accent pieces are top-shelf, especially the classic front grill/headlight assembly. The roof was recovered in the original black fabric design and is in very good condition. This Sedan Delivery has seating for only two, but it is a luxurious ride. Contoured bucket seats were redone in hi-grade off-white cloth/vinyl and a custom tilt-wheel column enhances the driving experience. A complete package of Classic Instrument gauges are laid out in a custom dash and the Pioneer AM/FM/CD provides tunes. Turn on the A/C and cruise in comfort. The rear compartment has a handcrafted wood/rib deck with full carpet mat and upholstered side panels. Horsepower comes from a Ford 302ci/4V small-block that has been rebuilt and runs strong. It is not a radical motor and mates well with the Ford 3-speed C-4 automatic w/transmission cooler. The solid chassis integrates a transverse-multi-leaf independent rear suspension. Manual 4-wheel disc brakes stop 15" Weld Racing wheels/radials. This handsome Sedan Delivery must be seen to be appreciated.
