First year of Ford's highly successful re-design for the wildly
popular Mustang.If you're looking for a Mustang that's a cut above
the offerings usually found online, then we invite you to consider
this MCA-concours C-code convertible. Here is a multiple
award-winning pony car that takes top honors in its class at
essentially any show it attends. This fantastic convertible
underwent a professional rotisserie restoration, performed by Cobra
Automotive of Langley, B.C. in the early '90s, using only NOS
parts. When the time came for the respray, the original Lime Gold
exterior was exchanged for the attractive Candy Apple. It has known
but one owner in British Columbia since the mid '90s and has been a
labor of diligence ever since, with perfection its goal. It is,
without question, one of the finest and most correct examples to be
found -- evidenced by multiple Mustang Club of America Gold awards,
with the most recent garnered in 2015. In addition, a complete
mechanical refurbishment was undertaken in 2011, performed by
Dave's Classic Car of Aldergrove, B.C., not to mention the
improvements and meticulous maintenance over the years in order to
achieve the extraordinary results presently on display.Under the
hood, you'll find its correct 289c.i., C-code 2V V8, detailed to
perfection with power steering, a correct single exhaust, and
backed by a Cruise-O-Matic transmission. Inside the meticulous
cabin, a full-length console, courtesy lamps, AM radio, a remote
driver mirror, and full instrumentation (with working clock) are
featured -- sliding into the driver seat, to be cliche, is to go
back in time. The exterior showcases expert body and paint,
ridiculously tight gaps and panel fitment, along with a Deluxe hood
with recessed turn signals and a trunk-mounted luggage rack. The
power-operated black soft top is impeccable, including the
crystal-clear glass rear window. Lift the deck lid to view the
incredibly finished trunk space; note the correct cargo mat, paint
finish, and spare Deluxe wheel. When taking a knee, one will
witness craftsmanship not usually seen on the undercarriage of a
classic automobile, a presentation which positively sets this one
apart from most "restored" Mustangs.View underside photos
