The original owner, a geography teacher, passed away in 1978. She bought the car as a gift to herself, when she was promoted at the University she worked at. At the time of her passing the odometer read 39000 miles. The 2nd owner purchased the ’57 Chevy in the early part of 1979. Minor work has been performed on the car over the years to keep it, but it has never gone through a full or partial restoration. The front fenders have been repaired, due to some small rust holes. Both doors show some slight damage, but overall the body in paint is in excellent condition for a nearly 60 year old car. The car was stored away for some time, so the mechanicals were gone through and serviced. The Bel Air is truly road worthy as it just made a 320+ journey to our Louisville Showroom. Under the hood, everything looks factory original and unmolested, hard to find in ’57 Chevrolet. The interior is in excellent shape, with the only wear showing in the drivers side carpet.
