A fine piece of German military hardware, one of Wolf truck "Alfa"
models, it was imported from NATO country of Denmark, it is
restored, and all my parts I am getting directly from MB in Germany
via USPS, and FedEx, all parts are original, through my very good
friend, and a G wagen enthusiast Guido Mattes.
- This truck has half doors, and folding flat windshield, unlike
civilian two door cabrio that has full doors, and fixed windshield,
also roll bar on civilian model is much higher up, and all parts
are not military grade.
Fuel consumption in my experience so far is 650 kilometers on one
tank of diesel in the city.
One tank holds approximately 18 gallons.
It can drive through four feet of water, there are drain plugs on
the floor for drainage, no carpets but rubber mats.
If not familiar with those military vehicles, you can see them on
Youtube: Classix:Der neue Wolf-Im Gelande zuhause.
Odometer reads 75,000 kilometers, I find odometer to be accurate,
simply because Denmark is a very small country, each military base
has 30 to 40 vehicles, well preserved, not much used, and they are
not driven around much, mostly to convenience store around the
corner :)
My only concern was rust which I addressed in new, flat black paint
job.
Four cylinder diesel engine is extremely fuel efficient, low
maintenance, and very reliable, no leaks of any kind, you are free
and most than welcome to inspect the vehicle before the
purchase.
Rims are military 5 milimeter, it could be driven without tires,
tires are off-road Continental 7.50 R 16.
Notice:
Keep in mind this is not some old diesel truck they can buy cheap
and drive around, these trucks are normally ILLEGAL in United
States, and it is extremely difficult to import, get paper work,
title, register, since they do not comply with EPA, DOT, NTSB
standards, and regulations, they go through rigorous investigation
by Customs Enforcement officials, and if they do not comply with 25
year exemption, they will be " SEIZED AND DESTROYED".
The very fact that I solved those issues, and got clean New York
State title, restored, customized to factory specs, that is what
makes this G class one of a kind in so many different ways.
This truck is straight pure diesel, four cylinder, and fuel economy
is just amazing, and gasoline prices are rising.
This is also not a "luxury suv" made of recycled plastic and tin
that loses value soon as you drive it off the dealers lot, this is
all terrain heavy duty vehicle made of steel with 78 000 kilometers
on engine and transmission on its way to one million miles that
these vehicles make, and its value increase with age.
