This beautiful 1946 Chevrolet Fleetline 2 door sedan has received a complete body-off restoration into one of the nicest cruisers we have ever had. The body itself is what is most amazing, it is arrow straight all over with a perfect fit and finish and has never had any rust or rot issues. That's right, this car is completely rust free and always has been. It has all of it's original sheet metal and the underside of the car is absolutely amazing, nothing has been cut or patched and looks just like it did when it left the factory in 46 and the frame rails are in mint condition as well, truly remarkable condition. The two stage burgundy metallic paint is show quality with all new chrome and stainless along with all new glass and weather stripping. The suspension has been upgraded with a nova sub-frame equipped with power steering and power disc brakes. As for the drive train a new GM crate 350 H.O. engine resides as the power plant with GM factory aluminum heads and intake, HEI distributor and Edelbrock carb. The transmission is a turbo 350 automatic with a chevy 10 bolt rear axle with 3.23 gearing. Keeping everything cool is an oversized aluminum radiator. The interior received all new upholstery from headliner to carpet, everything is new. The dash was completely restored with new gauges from Dakota Digital, tilt steering column, Vintage Air Conditioning, AM-FM CD stereo and all new chrome hardware. All garnish moldings have been refurbished to new also. The car sits on a new set of chrome wire wheels wrapped in wide white radial tires from BFGoodrich. This car rides and drives as good as they come, very tight and smooth with plenty of power. This was a very expensive restoration done on a superb car and when you began your build with an excellent car that finished product will always be that much better.
