Vehicle Description
This awesome Hi-Boy Roadster re-creation was built by the Grand National Roadster Builder of the Year winner Steve Frisbie and SAR (Steve's Auto Restorations). Over $152,000 went into this high-quality build. Powered by a 383/450hp Chevrolet V8 engine with aluminum heads, it's ported, polished, balanced, blueprinted and full of immense power. Fuel is delivered via a FAST 8-stack electronic fuel injection system. Features include Tremec TKO 5-speed transmission, Kegel Komponents investment-cast stainless-steel front A-arms and rear control arms, Kugel polished quick-change rear end and Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. It has coilover suspension with quad coilovers in the rear, posi-traction rear differential, MSD ignition and custom stainless steel exhaust system crafted entirely from food-grade stainless steel. It's also equipped with chrome independent suspension, and custom rack & pinion steering. The custom tan leather interior features custom tilt steering column, Classic Dash instruments, custom-built console, custom vintage heater and custom finished trunk. Riding on Schott Velocity 17" and 20" alloy wheels, it is masterfully finished in Ferrari Rosso Corsa Red over a Wescott body. It has numerous custom modifications throughout. It's chromed and polished throughout with bountiful custom and hand-fabricated parts. The headlights housings are real antiques that are around 80 years old. The custom windshield frame is a one-off piece and mimics the art deco feel of the headlights.
