Please contact us for more information. For 1934, Ford blanketed much of the American automobile market, offering V-8 power and a wide range of no fewer than 12 distinct passenger-car models at affordable prices to the buying public. Ranging from basic coupes, roadsters and two-door sedans to more luxurious and well-appointed cabriolets, convertible sedans and four-door sedans, Ford had put high-quality automobiles within reach of ordinary Americans with low prices and rock-solid reliability. Perhaps the biggest part of Ford's success story from the 1930s to today was the company's styling prowess. Pioneered by Henry Ford's son Edsel, an immensely talented and creative designer, who collaborated closely with Eugene T. "Bob" Gregorie, who translated Mr. Ford's vision into physical reality, Ford's design studios set the standard for the industry and the world. Both men also shared an affinity for nautical design principles, which added streamlined flair, uncanny balance, and a sense of speed even while sitting still to Ford's "value-priced" models of the era. Accordingly, all Fords of the 1930s, especially the 1934 models with their beautifully raked and V-shaped grilles and wonderful proportions, continue to provide the perfect canvas for customizers, hot rodders, and racers in California, a trend that continues uninterrupted today. This '34 Ford Roadster features a 'glass body and fenders with a steel hood by Wescott and carries a mean stance with a 4-inch dropped axle. Power is delivered by a Chevy 383 stroker engine pushing 350 to 400 horsepower with an Edelbrock 650 carburetor and intake manifold and ceramic coated headers feeding a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. The Turbo 350 automatic transmission is equipped with a shift kit and drives a Ford 9-inch rear end packing 3.10:1 gears. Other excellent features include front disc brakes with drums rear with a new power-assist master cylinder and emergency brake, ididit tilt steering column, and custom interior in the front and rumble seat compartments. A removable Bop Top provides additional flair and weather protection. A JVC AM/FM CD stereo includes a 650-watt amplifier and 6 speakers. Custom headlights include the turn signals. Recent updates performed during 2016 include new tires, new Bilstein shocks, new fluids and belt, an engine tune-up, paint restoration/touch up, and inspection from one end to the other. The Consignor reports that everything works and the vehicle runs great. Riding on Colorado Custom show wheels, it makes a great statement everywhere it goes!
