3 speed manual transmission; 1500 CC, single bore, engine size/type 1.5L. White and black interior; black convertible top, two tone paint (white/red). I have all receipts for all restoration work. Approximately 50,000 original miles; approximately 2,000 miles since restoration. Rear wheel drive. This was a really good restoration; it has a few items that could use some minor work which is noted in the inspection report done on Jan 7.
My dad purchased this vehicle in 1978 and it was in need of a lot of repairs. He did all the engine work and mechanical work on this car. He was a mechanic for many years. He had the interior redone and replaced the convertible top and had to cover made for the rear tire. He had the vehicle painted. My parents would drive this vehicle around town and often showed in local auto shows; and was driven in several parades in a couple of cities. The car runs great, has always been garaged and never left outside since purchasing in 1978.
Since first posting, I've also located additional parts that will be inlcuded with the sale. I have two part catalogs specific for the 1958 Met. I will have the items uploaded soon.
Inspection done by Road Ready through Classic Cars.com on January 7. The inspection is too large to upload to the site. I am happy to send via email to a prospective buyer.
I've lowered the price to accomodate for any costs the prospective buyer would pay to have the vehicle shipped.. Buyer pays for any shipping.
