1970 Mercedes Benz 280SL, one family owned car since new, Sold new at WI Siminson Mercedes in Santa Monica and has never left southern California. Only 94,000 original miles, Still on its original Blue and yellow California license plates, I have listed many photos of the car showing not only the good but any cosmetic issues as well. There are no rust issues prior or present in the car.
Exterior: Finished in dark green nonmetallic, very nice paint quality with deep finish, no scratches, a few tiny door dings to the driver door but has not broken the paint, one ding also near the antenna again no paint chipping, the original color of the car was Mocha Brown, it is an excellent respray and there are no signs of any original brown color to be seen anywhere, small bubbles on rear passenger flare as seen in photo. Hard top with storage cart, brown soft top in good condition. All metal is original, all trim is complete, and stainless in good condition with some pieces having a little pitting as seen in the photos, and front bumper could be re chromed, all glass excellent.
Interior in good shape as seen in the photos, no cracks in dash, all gauges working, interior lights including glove box working, upgraded CD player and rear speakers otherwise car is stock, AC, power steering, and brakes.
This car runs very well, shifts well, no leaks, no issues always serviced as needed, good Michelins and good brakes.
