This Impala SS 409 just underwent a meticulous frame-off restoration and has 20 miles since the restoration. It features two Carter AFB carburetors, factory chrome air cleaner, and the chrome valve covers look fantastic along with the completely restored engine bay. The original matching-numbers 409/400hp motor is running a 1964 425hp factory intake, carbs and air cleaner. The frame off restoration included a complete rebuild of all the mechanicals including the differential, Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, correct matching X-block, suspension, steering gear, convertible top hydraulics, wiper motor and chassis. It sports brand-new Coker BFG period-correct bias-ply tires on correct factory 6" steel wheels with bright mirror-finish factory SS wheel covers. Other features include a complete new wiring harness and all-new factory-dated glass, including dated rear window. All stainless was either replaced or polished, along with all the new chrome plating, including door posts, valve cover and air cleaner. Attention was even given to use factory period-correct bolts and fasteners; many are replated original bolts. It features a new top, interior, carpet and door panels. This rare factory two-tone red and white interior car has very few miles since the frame-off restoration. It looks as good underneath as it does from the top.
