Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a 2005 Chevrolet SSR. Chevrolet went with the retro design for the SSR or "Super Sport Roadster" which launched in 2003. They styled the vehicle like a Chevy truck from the 1950s. The rounded hood and bulging fenders are unmistakable. Something a truck from the 1950s didn't have is the beautifully engineered power folding metal top. With the touch of a button you can go from hard top to no top in just a few seconds. Another option that wasn't available in the 1950s is the LS2 V8 under the hood which they borrowed from the Corvette. The stock LS2 is no slouch at 400 horsepower, but someone thought that wasn't enough and threw a supercharger on top of this one. All that horsepower is certainly enough to get the blood pumping, but in addition, this is one of the SSRs to receive the highly desirable Tremec T-56 6 speed manual transmission. In addition to being a powerhouse, this one is also a head turner. It has been treated to a professionally painted flame scheme which looks hot. Custom staggered Boyd Coddington wheels also set this one apart from stock SSRs. With only 21,760 miles, this bad boy is hardly broken in.
