1965 Was a very good year .The Mustang debuted in April of 1964 and was such a smash hit that by the time the other manufacturers realized what an unbelievable hit the Mustang was they had lost an entire year of production... Ford was on a roll... Here is how the world felt in 1965.... The Rat Pack was in charge ..The Rolling Stones were on Ed Sullivan hour for the 2nd time. Gilligan's Island was in for a three hour tour... I dream of Jeannie had inspired every pubescent male in the U.S. ....Every one wanted their own Jeannie in a bottle... Flipper was the best that TV had to offer.... and the Beach boys had exploded on to the scene... Is it any wonder that the Mustang was such a hit.....Everything that the country needed , a light hearted ,fun to drive car that represented the fun in life ... This is is a great value , still more fun than a barrel of monkees.... and all of that at a cost less than a new Honda......
