Welcome to your next super fun classic car. This 280 SE came from Germany and was built in Stuttgart. My friend bought it in Germany as the second owner and after driving it a few years sold it to me. He had converted the headlights to the American type. It came with a 5 speed transmission, an electric sunroof and shoulder strap seat beats. I have owned it for close to 32 years and went thru the car restoring it to it former glory with a paint job and a rebuilt engine with about 20K miles. I personally built the engine, balanced and essentially blue printed the motor. Its an inline 6 cylinder with overhead cam, fuel injected, electronic ignition and runs on gasoline. It gets about 17- 20 miles per gallon. Recently I have gone thru the car and brought it back to it cruising glory. It will do over a 100 miles an hour! 4 newly rebuilt calipers (by White Post Restoration) and new front rotors and pads all around. When we did the brakes we replaced all the flex brake lines. The power steering pump was replaced and new hoses. And recently I had a new master clutch and slave cylinders replaced. It has a Viper Smart Start, Directed Alarm System and Auto door locks on the front doors. There is a 160W Blaupunkt Quadrophonic Stereo with custom speaker pods housing MB-Quart speakers. Last year I added a Hydrogen boost system to increase the gas efficiency. It works with an electrolysis cell that produces Hydrogen when the car is running and injects it into the air intake. When I first acquired the car I installed a new hydropneumatic strut and went thru the whole suspension with new springs bushings and shocks. I also installed a new fuel pump when restoring the car. The interior is in great shape for a vintage car. Super fun to drive and very dependable. Maint. costs are low and parts are like buying parts for a Ford. Needless to say the car has had loving care for many years. I just do not have space for it and since I only drive it for fun, I've decided to sell it.
