The Burgundy paint is a color-change and is in extremely nice condition. The paint gleams and shows off the car’s impressive lines.
The chrome is in good condition.
• Interior
The black seat upholstery (front buckets with a console) is in very nice condition and makes an excellent contrast with the burgundy exterior. There are no holes or tears in the seats. Seat belts are also installed.
The dash pad looks fresh and in good condition as does the headliner.
• Engine
The replacement 351 Cleveland V-8 engine makes this car come alive and it will make your heart race as well. The car’s engine runs and drives like a new one.
• Transmission
The automatic transmission works fine, shifting properly and allowing one to loaf along in traffic and explode when the road opens up.
• Tires, Luxury, and Safety Systems
This Cougar has 235/60R16 tires all mounted on American Racing Cragar-style wheels. The tires appear to have much of their tread remaining.
This car has most of the luxury features that Mercury offered including:

All of the instruments and safety equipment (lights, turn signals, horn, wipers) are working. This is a factory air conditioned Cougar that appears to need recharging.
