FROM THE OKOBOJI MUSEUM COLLECTION: Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale WITHOUT RESERVE and SOLD to the highest bidder January 19th - 22nd, 2017 at Russo and Steele's 17th Annual Scottsdale Arizona Auction at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Please contact us for more information. This is a beautiful, recent, frame off restoration that included refinishing, mechanical components and upholstery. The refurbishing has taken this vehicle back as close to factory original as possible and shows very well. The front and rear fenders were deemed unusable during the process of restoration and have been replaced with excellent quality fiberglass replicas but the body itself has been beautifully restored using all its original metal and a replacement pattern wood kit. The interior has been reupholstered in a fabric that, in appearance, is near to the mohair that would have covered the seats, side panels and headliner when the car was new. Mechanically the overhauled "Independence 6". 193.9 cubic inch, 50 horse power, overhead valve, inline 6 cylinder engine is in excellent condition, running smoothly and the 3 speed manual transmission shifts as effortlessly as ever. The brakes have been replaced and the entire undercarriage has been blasted and refinished. Sprayed back to a sleek raven black, the finish on this body makes it shine more beautifully than it ever did from the factory. Nothing remains to be done to make this vehicle your pride and joy, a show stopper and the jewel of the parade.
