This is a rare 1962 K10 1/2-Ton Fleetside pickup with factory-optional 4-wheel drive and 283 V-8. A complete and painstaking, super high-quality documented body-off restoration was performed over two years and completed in 2012 starting with a dry, rust-free and straight original, matching numbers California truck. Less than 50 miles are on the odometer since completion, and no nut, bolt, or detail was left unattended.
This truck has been restored to factory correct specification. Restored with mad attention to detail, even correct Chevrolet original material dips were restored and used to fasten seat covers instead of common, generic hog clips used by most upholstery shops. The seat material is also factory correct and sourced at a cost of over 100 per square yard. The truck is finished in its original, coded Cardinal Redeven though it presents orange and the interior is a beautiful Harvest Gold. The bed is done to correct, original Chevrolet standards using newly milled Southern Yellow Pine, and treated with linseed oil and lampblack pigmentation. Factory ordered options include 283 V-8, four-on-the-floor manual transmission, AM radio and heater.
