Power is delivered by a later-model AMC 401 engine built to the hilt with a Comp cam, Crane roller rockers, stainless-steel valves, Offenhauser midrise intake, Holley 770 carb, a Nitrous cheater system, and more The driveline includes a GM 700R4 automatic transmission, custom driveshaft, and Auburn center section with Moser solid flanged axles. In addition to other upgrades including subframe rail connectors, a Ron Davis custom aluminum radiator, and serpentine belt-drive system, the AMX is equipped with PS, PB, a modern A/C system, and brand new paint job.
