Built with exceptional workmanship and attention to detail, this 1931 Plymouth sedan is s sure-fire crowd magnet and a true standout everywhere it goes. It was recently completed and has over 20 awards and trophies to its credit. Featuring an all-steel body with the sole exception of the rear fenders, plus widened fenders and custom running boards, the Plymouth's highlights include outstanding bodywork and paintwork by Jim Michaudt, with the car handsomely finished in Alabaster Silver Metallic with Pewter fenders.
Riding on an updated suspension including Mustang II IFS, the Plymouth is motivated by a fully dressed 355 cubic-inch crate motor delivering some 400 horsepower with MSD ignition and a FAST fuel injection system by Bob Ream at Imagine Injection. A set of Sanderson headers and a custom ceramic-coated Magnaflow exhaust system removes the spent gases. A new Lokar-shifted GM overdrive automatic sends the power to a custom Ford rear end with 3.55 gears and Posi. Sure stops are courtesy of Baer 4-piston power brakes. Other mechanical highlights include a fuel cell and a Ron Davis radiator.
The interior compartment features outstanding workmanship throughout, beautifully trimmed in Cinnamon Ultra Leather upholstery with matching trim and carpeting. Welcome passenger amenities for a great cruising experience include a sound system by Steve Yiu at Definitive Audio plus Vintage Air and heat, power door locks and openers, and power windows. The complete custom-built dash contains a set of Marshall gauges.
Other excellent features of the Plymouth include a set of Harley-Davidson taillights and 17-inch Foose wheels that look just right with low-profile P225 tires up front and fat P275s out back. Built to perfectionist standards and simply striking throughout, this outstanding street rod has only an approximate 1,600 miles of use since it was completed. A recent appraisal is included in the Plymouth's auction file. Carrying a great presence with its extremely rare Plymouth body, it is a consistent award winner that stands ready to continue its winning ways, while delivering an outstanding experience with each and every drive!
