Please contact us for more information. Introduced at the 2006 North American Auto Show in Detroit, the all-new Chevrolet Camaro concept was the unqualified hit of the event. While its retro-style long hood, short deck bodylines by South Korean-born designer Sangyup Lee were inspired by the first-generation Camaro, the Camaro concept car was all-new in substance, based on the new GM Zeta platform. At once featuring a longer wheelbase and a shorter overall length than the prior F-Body Camaro/Firebird models of 1993 - 2002, the Camaro concept combined the 400 horsepower LS2 V-8 engine with a Tremec T-56 six-speed transmission, massive wheels, tires, and brakes, along with four-wheel independent suspension, a Camaro first. It's a serious track car-more than 300 pounds lighter than a ZL1-powered by a 505-hp 7.0-liter V-8 mated to a six-speed manual.
